Our association KICK THE SADDLE is trying to remove the citizens out of the suffocated cities, to convince them to climb uphill towards the peaks of the hills, or to ride at the base of the beautiful Romanian mountains, where we can still enjoy the fresh air, the ancient traditions and wild natural environment, non-altered by garbage, hot weather and car pollution.
Since 2004, the association KICK THE SADDLE continues the fight for "Velorution: the revolution on two wheels" as a struggle for the emancipation of the bicycle as a means of smart personal transport.
By organizing camps and cycling vacations, we are trying to raise funds for educational programs and lobbying & advocacy.

1. CĂLĂRAŞI County, PLEVNA village, on the TRANSCĂLĂRĂŞAN Road

Our STANDARD OFFER for RENT:
a) Rent the entire Traditional House: 50 euros / night (without meals)
b) Rent rooms: between 10 - 15 euros / night (without meals)
Situated at 83 km far from Bucharest, capital city of Romania, maximum 1 hour drive by car on the road to Calarasi city.
Maximum 5-6 hours ride by bike, depending on the average speed and the number of pauses.
Two or three pieces of chopped wood thrown in the stove, two or three nuts in a ceramic bowl, two or three glasses of brandy or wine, two or three bundles of basil and ... two or three moments of quiet countryside around you. That's all you need to understand that the Romanian village offers the perfect balance for those who fail to find peace in apartments, restaurants and parks in the overcrowded Bucharest .
The KICK THE SADDLE Traditional House convinces by simplicity, by its traditional arhaic style, the spaciousness of the children's playground, the velo trails with almost no difficulty. Full house is rented so that small family groups finds comfort and privacy.

The „Kick the Saddle” association invites kids and teenagers to our EASTERN CAMP
“Riding Bunnies“: ADVENTURE near Bucegi Mountains
(CICLOTOURISM, TRADITIONS, ORIENTATION AND OUTDOOR SURVIVING)
Period: between 8 – 13th of APRIL
for kids between 10 – 14 years, teenagers between 14 – 18 years groups of minimum 10 kids
Having a real traditon and experience in managing youth camps, the Association KICK THE SADDLE (Bate Saua sa Priceapa Iapa) is organizing at the Naparis Villas, a special Cyclotourism Camp for the Eastern Holidays, at the price of 1350 RON / kid.
